A singer-songwriter from the Louisiana Bayou - West Monroe, LA, Stephen Paul’s music is inspired by his cajun roots and classic country. Combining a traditional country style with a modern country sound, Paul offers a refreshing voice to country music and its fans.
At age three, Stephen began his musical journey when his father gave him his first drum kit. Following years of involvement in music ministry at his church, Stephen began playing guitar and eventually pursued songwriting. Stephen graduated from the University of Louisiana-Monroe (ULM) in 2013 and performed with a variety of local bands during his college career. In the fall of 2014, Stephen traded the local scene of Louisiana for Music City in order to pursue his music career.
Since then, Stephen's focus has centered on writing, creating, and touring. In 2022, Stephen played over 175 shows and made his arena debut with Justin Moore. He also shared the stage with Tim McGraw in June of 2022 at the Winstock Country Music Festival in Winsted, MN, during which Tim personally invited him to join in singing “I Like It, I Love It” in front of 15,000+ fans. Stephen has also shared the stage with Dierks Bentley, Dylan Scott, David Lee Murphy, Chris Lane, Neal McCoy, Pat Green, Mark Chesnutt & more.
Stephen recently surpassed 5 Million+ global streams across all streaming platforms with a 80k social impact. He’s found success not only as an independent country artist, but also as a songwriter. Stephen's credits include several independent cuts including “Runnin’ From My Roots” performed by Janelle Arthur (December 2018) which became the title track to the Silver Linings Picture "Runnin’ From My Roots."
Known for his relatable lyricism, vocal depth, and sincere delivery, Stephen released his debut EP "Louisiana Heat" in 2017. Following this, Stephen released his breakthrough EP "Off My Chest" at the end of 2019. The EP was produced by Lalo Guzman and features six tracks including the singles “Leaving Louisiana,” “Lookin’ For Me,” and the title track, “Off My Chest.” Stephen's latest releases “Good Ole Boys Girl” and “South Up North” were featured on Apple Music’s "New in Country” and "The Ward Guenther Show." Spotify also supported those tracks on “New Music Nashville”, "New Music Friday Country", and "Fresh Finds Country" playlists.
